This blog has been on my heart for a while, but I felt incapable of doing it. I am not a ‘writer’ but I knew I had a story. Matthew and I met in 2009 and dated for two years before he proposed. We married a year+ later. Even in our early dating years we tackled some tough issues, our relationship was solidified through these battles. We both had a heart for adoption. I was careful to let my heart love him. I was scared at; how fast I had fallen in love and how certain I felt God was writing our love story. So we talked in abstracts, ‘one day when I get married I’d like to adopt.’ Soon we began dreaming together and we knew adoption was in our future. Now 4+ years into marriage and we are opening our hearts and our home.
